Rootfull wins QEST craft scholarship

I’m delighted to announce that Rootfull has won a QEST craft scholarship!

It’s an honour to have my work with root textiles recognised by QEST, an organisation dedicated to preserving vital skills in both traditional and contemporary crafts and promoting excellence in the British craft industry.

The QEST scholarship provides me with an amazing opportunity to enhance my knowledge of computational design techniques under the guidance of Filippo Nassetti, a groundbreaking leader and researcher merging organic forms, computational methods and advanced manufacturing technologies.
These new skills will empower Rootfull to develop new root textiles through the application of biomimicry. By utilising photographic imagery and computational design the innovation will push past the limits of 3D printing alone, pointing towards a new era of programmable, sustainable design and craftmanship.

I am beyond excited to embark on this journey to see where it goes…
